(DF) Archangel’s All Souls Day: Bulgaria Commemorates Fallen Soldiers

November 2 (BTA) – On Saturday, Archangel’s All Souls Day, Bulgaria commemorated its fallen soldiers with memorial services across the country. President and Commander-in-Chief Rumen Radev attended a memorial service conducted by Bishop Polycarp of Belogradchik in front of the Military Mausoleum-Ossuary at the Central Sofia Cemetery. The memorial service was also attended by Defence Minister Krassimir Karakachanov, Defence Chief Andrey Botsev, the commanders of the armed forces, senior officers, members of military patriotic unions and the families of servicemen who died in the line of duty. Units of the Land Forces, the Navy, the Air Force and the Special Forces Brigade took part in memorial services in Assenovgrad, Bourgas, Varna, Karlovo, Plovdiv and Pleven. Observances were held to honour fallen Bulgarian soldiers at the Cerna River Bend and at the Bulgarian military cemetery in the Republic of North Macedonia.
