The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 1,131,678 after 7,385 tests identified 704 new infections on Saturday, 68.75 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 9.53 per cent.
The active cases are 189,422. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 2,045, including 241 in intensive care. Of the 83 new hospital admissions, 84.34 per cent are not vaccinated.
Another 482 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 907,251.
Four fatalities were reported (75.00 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 36,429.
With 512 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 4,344,963 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 2,049,260 people are fully vaccinated, and 718,166 have received a booster jab.
