Bulgarian National Assembly Chairperson Nikola Minchev conferred with the visiting Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), Asaf Hajiyev, Parliament’s press office said here on Thursday.
The main topic of discussion was PABSEC’s role in strengthening the cooperation between parliamentarians from the Black Sea countries.
Minchev commented on the importance of PABSEC as platform of dialogue, joint actions, and close cooperation between parliamentarians from the Black Sea countries. He said that Bulgaria is closely involved in PABSEC’s activity and the Head of the PABSEC Bulgarian Delegation, Petar Kanev, has years of experience as а representative of the country in the Assembly.
Bulgaria condemns what is happening in Ukraine, Minchev stressed, adding that everybody hopes the war will come to an end soon.
Hajiyev also voiced a hope that the war will stop soon and PABSEC will return to its joint sittings on behalf of its country members’ citizens. He pointed out that Bulgaria plays an important role in PABSEC’s activity.
