Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov met with US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken. The agenda of the meeting included Bulgaria’s energy security, economic and political cooperation between Bulgaria and the US, and the situation in the region, said the government press service.
Following the meeting, Petkov said on Twitter: “Pleased to speak today with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. We have discussed enhancing cooperation and diversification of energy sources and routes. Bulgaria and US are Allies and strategic partners and energy cooperation will contribute to increasing energy security and diversification in the region.”
Kiril Petkov paid a working visit to Washington, D.C., on May 9 and 10.
