Bulgarian PM, Israeli President Discuss Strategic Partnership

Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov talked with Israeli President Isaac Herzog on the sidelines of the 2022 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the Government Information Service in Sofia reported on Wednesday. Petkov was adamant that the trust and the excellent cooperation between Bulgaria and Israel will continue to develop in new areas of mutual interest. In the context of bolstering bilateral economic cooperation, the two leaders paid particular attention to the energy industry and the possibilities for partnership in this domain. Petkov noted that Bulgaria’s energy security is a priority for his government, and the diversification of natural gas supplies is of pivotal importance.
