1996: The National Assembly defeats a third motion of no confidence in the government of socialist prime minister Zhan Videnov (in office from January 25, 1995 until February 12, 1997), tabled by the Union of Democratic Forces over a “failed economic policy.”
2002: The National Assembly adopts the Safe Use of Nuclear Energy Act.
2014: Parliament rejects with 109 votes “in favour”, 114 votes “against” and one abstention the fifth non-confidence vote against the Plamen Oresharski Cabinet for failure of the fiscal policy. The motion is submitted on June 5, 2014, by GERB.
