The St. Cyril and St. Methodius National Library is heading an international project with the participation of five other national libraries in Europe. The project aims to present an exhibition titled “Abundance of Colour and Traditions” based on the digitized documents from the repositories of Georgia’s national and parliamentary libraries, as well as the national libraries of Romania, Serbia and Montenegro and the national and university libraries in Zagreb, Croatia, the Bulgarian project team said.
The exhibition will illustrate the local life, customs and traditions in each of the six countries, with digitized images of folk costumes and characteristic elements, as well as objects from each library’s repository. Artefacts will also be included. A discussion panel for experts is also included in the programme.
“Abundance of Colour and Traditions” will open at the National Library in Sofia on November 9. Its extended digital version will be accessible online.
