As from January 1, 2023, Lukoil Neftochim Burgas and Lukoil Bulgaria will move their business, revenues and taxes to Bulgaria from the Netherlands and Switzerland, Bulgarian caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policies and Transport and Communications Minister Hristo Aleksiev said here on Monday.
Together with caretaker Economy and Industry Minister Nikola Stoyanov and caretaker Deputy Finance Minister Lyudmila Petkova, Aleksiev conferred with Lukoil Neftochim Burgas AD Management Board Chairman Ilshat Sharafutdinov, with Lukoil Bulgaria General Manager Andrey Matiukhov and Lukoil Bulgaria legal consultant Alexander Velichkov.
This step makes it possible for an increase of Bulgaria’s tax revenues, said Economy Minister Stoyanov.
Last year Lukoil Neftochim Burgas paid BGN 3.5 million in taxes to the Bulgarian public purse. The profits tax payment by the company is expected at BGN 100 million leva this year and BGN 600-700 million next year, said Aleksiev.
