President Radev to Meet PM Designate Gabrovski on Monday

President Rumen Radev will meet Prime Minister designate Nikolai Gabrovski, nominated by GERB,the largest parliamentary group in the 48th National Assembly, which has been handed the first government forming mandate under the constitutional procedure, Radev’s press secretariat said.
The meeting will take place at 10.30 am on Monday at the Presidency.
In the past week Gabrovski met with four of the remaining six political parties. Vazrazhdane and Continue the Change declined the meeting in letters.
Gabrovski met with the formations of Democratic Bulgaria, BSP for Bulgaria, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms and Bulgarian Rise. During the meetings he said that his nominations for ministers won’t be people with strong political affiliations. On Friday speaking on national TV Gabrovski said that he chose on his own the ministers in the draft cabinet, which is expected to be proposed.
During the meetings Prof. Gabrovski said that it is best for the country to have a regular government. According to him, the country will enter a spiral of early elections, if a cabinet fails to be formed now.
