A total of 167 fires have been put out in Bulgaria over the last 24 hours, the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection reported on its website Monday morning.
One person has been injured. Twenty-eight fires have caused damage to property, including seven to residential buildings and one to woodland. Of the 139 fires that did not damage property, 95 have affected dry grass, forest undergrowth and shrubs.
The fire services have responded to 208 emergency alerts, of which 11 proved to be hoaxes.
