Bulgarian, Belgian Musicians Mark May 24 in Ghent

The singer Nina Nikolina, the Bulgarian choir “Bulgapeya” from Brussels, the women’s choir “Furiosa” from Ghent, the Belgian pianist and composer Daniel Verstappen and the solo viola of the Brussels Philharmonic Marina Barskaya will perform a concert in Ghent on May 26.
The musical event “Reconnection – Bridge between Cultures” will be part of a festival weekend dedicated to May 24, the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literacy, the Bulgarian Embassy in Belgium said on Facebook. “The concert is also part of the world tour “Reconnection” of Daniel Verstappen, who will be a guest in world-famous concert halls such as the Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall – New York, Harpa – Iceland, Rudolfinum – Prague, Antique Theatre Plovdiv and many others,” the diplomatic mission wrote.
The embassy added that “Bridge between Cultures” brings together the most beautiful of the culture of Belgium and Bulgaria in a unique musical experience.
The event starts at 3 pm local time at the Handelsbeurs concert hall in Ghent.
